WEATHER IN DUBAI
The United Arab Emirates is an arid region with a sub-tropical climate. Most of the rain falls in the winter months between December and April, but even it does not normally last for more than 4 days a month which totals approximately 80 mm per year. Every now and then south west monsoons bring rare summer showers.
During the winter months the sun shines on average for about eight hours per day. Temperatures range from 14ºC to 26ºC which is perfect for many European visitors who want to catch some winter sun. Despite the almost perfect conditions during those months it has been known for the odd sand storm, dense fog, thunder storms and gale force winds to occur - but that does not take place very often.
The summer in Dubai can reach temperatures of up to 45ºC, which together with high humidity makes the months between June and September very hot and uncomfortable for those not used to the heat. Minimum temperatures are at about 30ºC with a sunshine average of eleven hours a day.
