CV TIPS FOR DUBAI
As your resume is likely to be your initial contact with a prospective employer, it is important that it is presented in a clear and concise way to achieve maximum impact.
The first page is very important. It should be eye catching and well presented with your personal contact details and a couple of well thought out paragraphs under Career Objectives and Summary which explains why you are the right person for this job.

- Telephone/fax numbers
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Career Objectives - a couple of sentences on your career plans and aspirations
- Summary - a paragraph selling your experience, skills and strengths (try and keep it as relevant as possible to the job you are applying for).
Page two gets down to more basic details:
1. Education and training - date, education/training completed, name of institution, qualification/experience gained
2. Work History (starting with current or most recent job)
(i) date employed (from and to)
(ii) company name
(iii) type of business
(iv) position held
(v) brief description of duties carried out
3. Skills
Technical skills, eg: IT packages you can use, languages spoken, etc.
4. Professional Affiliations
List of any organisations you belong to, professional or academic societies.
5. Referees
Names of at least two referees (both should be people you have worked with) giving details of their name, position, company where employed, relationship to you, contact telephone number and address.
